Hi! I'm a 56yr. old retired single adoptive Mom of two beautiful African American children. I adopted them a few years after my divorce (which was 21+ years ago). My daughter's 22 and my son's 23. I've devoted the past 18+ years to raising my children as a single Mom, & although they've enriched my life beyond description, I'm now looking for more balance! I have mid/long auburn hair, mischievous eyes, and a warm smile! I would describe myself as a rubenesque woman, one with a fuller figure and soft womanly curves...in other words, I'm not a Barbie doll and never will be. I'm not athletic, due to a knee injury and occasional flare-ups of fibromyalgia. But, I still LOVE life and take part in as many of it's adventures as possible! So no mountain climbing or marathons for me, but I'm a great cheerleader if my man enjoys participating various sports/adventures!

I have a huge capacity for love! My friends describe me as loving, generous, sensitive, intelligent, compassionate, and caring...of course they're my friends, so you'll have to decide for yourself! I'm passionate about building healthy relationships... no players or cons need respond! I value family, friendship, trust, integrity, open and honest communication, compassion, and mutual respect. I LOVE to laugh and have a lot to offer someone who appreciates a REAL woman who knows who she is, what she wants and where she's going! I lean left with politics, and am passionate about my values...but not a raging lunatic about it! (smile)!

I'm searching for a man who has at least the same emotional and financial stability as me, and is above all honest and sincere! A sense of humor is also a must!! I also appreciate a man who is non-judgmental, intelligent, warm, funny, affectionate, and kind. A positive attitude goes a long way with me!! There's already too much negativity in this world! If you smile easily, have a great sense of humor, enjoy life, are affectionate, and have a big heart...you may be the man I'm searching for. Carry on baggage only please...NO drugs, NO smoking, or excessive drinking! I'm far from perfect, and wouldn't expect my partner to be either...just perfect for each other!

I hope to find someone who likes some of the same things I do, but has his own interests as well. I have lots of wonderful friends and enjoy a balance of alone time, time with friends and family, and if I'm lucky, hopefully time shared with a special man. In other words, I'm not the "smothering" type...it's fine if
we share some of the same interests, but also allow one another the occasional alone time or time to pursue our own interests. I put relationships above all else, but have learned to enjoy my occasional "me" time since my children have grown up. I'd like an equal partner who wants mutual respect and support in a relationship.

Lastly, although I love intimacy with the right man, however, I'm NOT looking for a one night stand, so if all you're interested in is a physical relationship, please look elsewhere! I'm looking for a whole connection- someone who stimulates my mind, appreciates and respects my body and handles my heart and spirit with care! By this time in my life I realize the physical part of a relationship means nothing without the other connections! I'm only interested in men who are mature enough to realize that too!
